Middle East Bishops at Vatican II

On April 8, 2025 Fr. David Neuhaus, SJ shared with us some of his findings from his research on the  Middle Eastern Catholic resistance to the formulation of “De Judaeis” at the Second Vatican Council. We examined this well-known yet under-studied opposition to Nostra Aetate in the context of both the Church's efforts to reject antisemitism and its need to handle the delicate issues of the Israeli-Arab and Israeli-Palestinian conflicts.
