Assaf Feldman
I am an M.A. student in Cultural Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. My research explores the intersection of religion, culture, and global intellectual currents, with a focus on the role of the World Council of Churches (WCC) in shaping theological and cultural discourse between the Global North and South. I am particularly interested in postcolonial theory and its relevance to global Christianity, ecumenism, and cultural critique. My thesis integrates historical inquiry with critical theory, contributing to a deeper understanding of the WCC as a transnational actor negotiating issues of faith, justice, and global inequality in the postwar world.
I hold a B.A. in International Relations and Asian Studies, also from the Hebrew University, where I was awarded the prize for best seminar paper.
